The Ho-o is considered a heavenly bird that only appears in times of peace, harmony, and just rule. Its appearance was traditionally interpreted as a good omen\u2014a sign that the world is in balance.<\/span><\/p>\n

Katana PHOENIX has hand forged blade with fuller (Bo-Hi), made of 1095 carbon steel (which is not stainless). Made in Kobuse-Style, traditionally hardened through clay-coating. With real Hamon-line. 60 HRC at the scabbard, 40 HRC at the back. The blade collar (Habaki) is brass and the iron fittings (Tsuba, Fuchi, Menuki, Kashira) present edelweiss, decorated with gold and silver.<\/span>
\nTsuka grip-wrap is Katate Maki-Style (War-wrap) made of grey silk, under which real ray skin is underlaid. Two dowels (mekugi) fix the blade in the grip.<\/span><\/p>\n
