The dragonfly (Japanese: \u201cTombo<\/span>\u201d) was considered to be an honorable symbol of the Samurai. It symbolized the courage of the warrior and the attitude to never give up. <\/span>
\nIn Shintoism the insect represents the rice plant and is a harbinger of a profitable fall. The Japanese expressed their worship of this animal in numerous poems.
\nThe tang is especially long and fixed with two bamboo pegs (Mekugi). The scabbard (Saya) is made of wood and the blade collar (Habaki) is made of brass. This Tombo Katana has been made according to original museum exhibitions.
\nThe sword comes with a certificate of origin, wrapped in cloth and packed in a high-quality wooden box. All measures are subject to estimation.

\nThis sword is a highlight in many aspects. Especially the themed decorations, the differentially heat-treated Shobo-zukuri style blade and the sheath with Kozuka (a small utility knife) turn this sword into something special. <\/span><\/p>\n
